Who are the Death Eaters?

Formed in the years following the fall of the dark wizard Grindelwald, the Death Eaters are a group of wizards and witches who are followers of Lord Voldemort. They are convinced, like their master, of the superiority of so-called “pureblood” individuals over Muggle-born wizards and witches (born of parents without magic power like Hermione Granger), and aim to establish, through the through the Ministry of Magic, a new order based on fear and terror.
