Sebastian Herkner studied industrial design at HfG Offenbach in Germany between 2001 and 2007. He completed his internship at Stella McCartney in London.
Still while studying – he opened his own studio in Offenbach am Main in 2006 and concentrated on designing furniture and objects, combining always the newest technology and traditional craftsmanship.

Through his studio, he has already designed for diverse high-profile clients, including ClassiCon, Dedon, Fontana Arte, La Chance, Moroso, Pulpo, and Rosenthal, and has won a number of awards: Starting with the Leonardo Da Vinci Scholarship in 2003 and the German Design Award in the category Newcomer in 2011, he made it to the Guest of Honour of the in Cologne 2016.

I transport and interpret characteristics from various contexts of society and culture and implement them in new artifacts.
