Who is Beast from X-men?
The Beast, also known as Dr. Henry “Hank” McCoy, is a character in the X-Men comics and related media. He was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby and first appeared in X-Men #1 in 1963.
Hank McCoy was originally a human, but after a self-administered mutation-inducing serum, he became a mutant with blue fur, superhuman strength, agility, and an animalistic appearance. The serum also enhanced his intelligence, making him a genius in genetics and biochemistry. The Beast has been a member of the X-Men and served as a mentor and teacher at the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning. He has also been affiliated with other teams, including the Avengers and the Defenders. He is known for his acrobatic skills, his scientific knowledge, and his sense of humor.
Beast from X-men costume and accessories
In order to become the Beast, you will need to slip into a blue bodysuit. Put on a pair of boxing shorts over the bodysuit, as well as a matching Beast t-shirt. Don’t forget the fake fans and electric blue wig to make your Beast as realistic as possible! Finally, you will of course have to paint your entire body with blue body paint.
If you’re looking to make your costume look as realistic as possible, you can also use prosthetics to shape your face and make it seem more animalistic. As shown in the video, apply the prosthetics carefully over your face, then go over them with a base of red makeup before putting on neutral foundation. Afterwards, start painting your face blue! Alternate between two shades of blue, one lighter, one a little darker, to create the illusion of depth. Finish it up by lightly applying some grey tones over the blue to tone it down. Finally, spray some silver hair spray over your hair, or just use a wig if you don’t want to put chemicals in your hair. And you’re all set!
