Victoria Bazúa’s Five Best Fun, Bold and Bright Looks as Kate Scott in Apple TV+ Land of Women

If you have read our round-up of Eva Longoria’s best looks as the stylish Gala Scott in Land of Women (find it here if you haven’t), you might be thinking that she is the show’s main fashionista. But Victoria Bazúa, as her daughter Kate, might just have something to say about that. Bringing a much needed touch of teenage fun, bold colors and a slightly psychedelic feel to the Apple TV+ drama with her designer filled Victoria Bazúa Land of Woman outfits.

And we think these might just be the best of the best when it comes to Kate Scott’s wardrobe…

The official trailer for Apple TV+ Land of Women.

Meet Kate Scott

Kate Scott, the 17-year-old daughter of Gala and Fred, is nothing short of a moody teenager when she finds herself on a spontaneous “Girls Trip” with her mother and elderly grandmother, Julia. Stuck in beautiful La Muga, without her girlfriend and pining for her father, who she doesn’t realize is the reason for their dangerous predicament, it turns out that Kate hasn’t left all of her problems in America.

But maybe like her grandmother before her the little Spanish wine village will be the making of her…

Our protagonist, Gala’s life might have been turned upside down when she found out that her husband Fred had lost all their money, while still owing 15 million dollars to some shady people who want it back. But what about poor Kate?

Rounded up from her exclusive boarding school and flown to Spain, the teenager arrives in La Muga, a designer wearing carbon-copy of her mother. All black sheer ribbed tank tops and matching tights, paired with her contrasting Michael Kors red leopard print mini-skirt. With the posh and spoilt-brat look finished, like almost all of her Victoria Bazúa Land of Woman outfits, with her Guess FIFII buckle ankle boots.

Just as her mother Gala, had a favorite style of dressing that makes up most of her Eva Longoria Land of Women outfits, so does Kate. But where Gala’s is all about monochromatic dressing, Kate’s preferred look is bold, bright and psychedelic tie dye.

urprisingly Kate has a very girly color palette for her tie dye looks in comparison to her earlier black and red outfit.

Given a fittingly modern update in the show, while more than likely being a representation of her arty side that we see flourishing at boarding school. The dyeing technique can be seen on everything from Kate’s simple SANDRO and MAJE short sleeve t-shirts to this oversized hoodie.

It turns out that Mia Polanco from Netflix’s coming-of-age show Everything Now had the right idea when she paired her satin midi-dress with a basic round neck t-shirt for date night. Replicated, no doubt unintentionally, in the Victoria Bazúa Land of Woman outfits Kate wears her blue graphic print Diesel satin mini-dress, over her simple black top for just as important an occasion. Though the introduction of her parents and her girlfriend’s family goes about as well as Mia’s date did, so not very well at all.

Psychedelic Fun: Victoria Bazúa’s Pinko Tie Dye Sweater as Kate Scott

One thing is for sure La Muga is definitely teaching Kate to stand-up for herself, especially when she retaliates after being belittled over her gender-affirming surgery. Land of Women, Apple TV+.

It doesn’t take long before we get another dose of bold, bright and psychedelic fun from Kate’s wardrobe with some more tie dye. Once again favoring her soft, feminine color palette of pinks and peaches, this time even adding a hint of green. But the long sleeved knitted sweater, that highly resembles this Pinko tie dye cardigan pattern, is a welcome return to a confident Kate. Especially after witnessing the bullying and belittling she received from the La Muga locals when they found out about her gender-affirming surgery.

Kate Scott with her Victoria Bazúa Land of Woman outfits might not be the epitome of fashion, instead mixing and matching on trend pieces with her love of tie dye and simple basics. But one look from her stylish wardrobe that has been making a comeback is the color block bomber jacket. Although Kate has opted for a more subtle style than say Jackie Cleaver in Love Lies Bleeding, her gray Zadig & Voltaire vintage style jacket has plenty of color splashes. And works perfectly when thrown on over any number of her Land of Woman outfits.

There aren’t many actresses that can brag that their first major acting role was opposite the stylish Eva Longoria, or the industry great that is Carmen Maura but Victoria Bazúa can on both counts. And with the performance she put in from Kate’s growing confidence to her empathy and love for her family, she should scream it from the rooftops. Yet we can’t forget how the Victoria Bazúa Land of Woman outfits worked just as hard as the actress, with every one technically worthy of a place on our top five list.
