Designer: Verner Panton, Louis Poulsen

Description

The Panthella lamp was designed by Verner Panton for Louis Poulsen in 1971. Verner Panton is known for creating furniture with geometric shapes and bright colors. The Panthella Table Lamp’s semi-circular top is evidence of this.
The Panthella lamp could be called the mushroom lamp due to its organic shape and semi-circular top.
The lamp was originally designed to have a metal shade but it was not possible at that time. Now the lamp is available in different materials and colors.
The aim of Verner Panton was to show that light can be strong and soft. It illuminates the room not only from the source but from the reflection on the base of the lamp.
