Ludwig Mies Van der Rohe’s philosophy of less is more has been evident in all of his designs. The MR cantilever chair is a prime example of a minimalist design.
Mies Van der Rohe made use of tubular chrome-plated steel in one continuous curved line as the frame of the MR chairs. The back and seat are made of leather and one with stitches at the back is called the MR10 Slingback Lounge chair.
The same slingback cantilever chairs are found in the movie Widows, situated in the dining room. It is aptly paired with a modern table with metal legs.
