The Mario games have long since been a staple of the gaming industry and show no plans of stopping. With games like Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Galaxy and the newer release of Super Mario Odyssey, Mario’s made a huge splash for decades. Along with the very notable characters within the games themselves like Koopa Troopa, a reoccurring turtle that is a common presence in the Mario games. Sometimes, despite being such a regular presence within the games, they don’t receive nearly enough love as they should, which makes them perfect to cosplay. The Trooper of the Koopa Troop
Koopa Troopa are common enemies within the Mario games. As mentioned before they’re turtle-like creatures that hide in their shells whenever they’re stomped on. They’re part of a race called the Koopa, and Koopa Troopas are the troopers of the Koopa Troop, hence the name. They also come in various colors such as green, red, blue, yellow, and many more. Each different colored Koopa will even do different things. For example, green Koopa will walk off cliffs, Red will walk back and forth. Every color is assigned to do something different. There are even Giant Koopa and a wing variant.
Replicating the Koopa Troopa Look
Now there really isn’t much to see here other than the shell on its back and the color of choice on said shell as well as the boots. Koopa Troopa is the ultimate minimalist, as minimal as it gets. Although how much could one little turtle have on? Try starting off with a pair of yellow leggings and a long-sleeved yellow shirt to match. Now slip on a turtle backpack of your choice, whether it be green, red, blue, or yellow. Be sure to then get a pair of converse that match the color of your back of the same colors. Koopa Troopa are nothing if not keen on matching with the very little fashion they sport. Add a few fire or ice flowers to really sell it and now you’re the Koopa Troopa of your dreams! Simple, right?
