Bubbles from Powerpuff Girls Outfit Guide

The Powerpuff Girls were a staple to decades of children growing up in the 90s and early 2000s. Having such a unique art style, an interesting plot, and a pinch of not always taking it too seriously gave it just the right formula to create something perfect. Among the itty bitty heroes is the happy-go-lucky Bubbles, the optimist of the group. Ready to join Blossom and Buttercup with your awesome Bubbles cosplay.

Get to know the character before you put on the costume

The city of Townsville is run amuck by villains and criminals with no one around to save them from the endless terror.

Professor Utonium, known for his experiments, attempted to make the perfect child by using sugar, spice, and everything nice. However, the experiment goes awry when his mischievous chimp, Jojo shoves him and accidentally spills Chemical X into the mix and causing an explosion to take place.

The explosion is enough to knock the chimp through the window and knocks out the Professor.

When the Professor awakens, three little girls stand before him as his creations and he aptly names them:

  • Blossom, for being polite
  • Bubblies for her bubbly personality
  • and Buttercup to keep the B theme.

Amy credits the Powerpuff Girls lasting influence to the show’s main characters, saying,:

“The fact that it was kindergarten girls kicking butt was fun and unusual. The music was great, and all these elements came together to create something really special.”

Amy Keating Rogers, one of the show’s original writers for Teen Vogue

Now it’s time to steal Bubbles’ Powerpuff look

June Crees -Bubbles Powerpuff Cosplay Guide. June is sharing some tips on how to make the perfect Bubbles cosplay

Bubbles, like her other sisters, has a very simple yet unique style:

  • Start with a blue dress that cuts just above the knee and add white, knee-high socks.
  • Wrap a black belt around the waist and slip on a black, double-strap buckle dress shoe.
  • Slip on a blond wig with or without ponytails on either side. If it isn’t already in ponytails, use blue hair ties to tie them up yourself and you’re all finished.

Chris Battle (an appropriate name) did an excellent job creating such a lovable style to grow attached to and now it’s your turn to grow attached to this lovable Bubbles Powerpuff costume! Chris Savino, known for The Loud House (here is how to dress like Lincoln) has also worked on Powerpuff Girls
