Billy, or as he’s officially known, William Butcherson, was a young boy who was involved with Winifred. Winifred soon fell in love with him and thought that their relationship was more than what it was. She soon grew an obsession with him and wouldn’t leave him be. Billy, however, had his heart stolen by her sister, Sarah, and decided to pursue her instead. Winifred wasn’t pleased to hear this, claiming that he had cheated on her and decided to poison him as punishment, ultimately killing him. She proceeded to sew his mouth shut to keep him from telling any of her secrets, even in his death, and was later revived to do her bidding, which he promptly began to ignore and even stand against her.

Most of what Billy wear is fairly old or out-dated due to the time period that he’s originally from. Being born in the 1600s, it’s not hard to find his themed clothing in a Halloween store nowadays. Billy wears an off-white, victorian style ruffle shirt with long sleeves and a collar. The cuffs are cut close to the wrists, with a brown or black overcoat thrown over the top. Next, a pair of light brown pants and at this point, it’s hard not to look at yourself and not feel like more of a pirate than a zombie.

To help get into the zombie spirit, add a zombie mask to really look undead and a shaggy, short, black wig with very messy bangs. The more disheveled, the better. Touch up your dead look with a little bit of green and black face paint around the eyes. A pair of long white socks and buckled black shoes should tie up the entire look and now you’re ready to roam the graveyard!

The story imprinted itself into everyone’s minds from the start. It was so iconic that it was still remade years later and with your Billy costume, you’ll only do it justice.

Billy Butcherson was produced by David Kirschner, whose filmography is extensive, encompassing a multitude of titles. One notable production is The Bride of Chucky, for which you can find a costume tutorial here.
