If it wasn’t Mortal Kombat, it was Tekken. The two games were often pitted against each other and even more so in future games. Tekken hasn’t made the greatest comeback but it was one of the signature playstation games that many definitely remember. All of the games were statements within the fighting game community and so were it’s characters, particularly King, who makes a thrilling cosplay. Let’s create King Tekken 3 Costume!
Who is King Tekken?
Who could forget the look on this guy? Actually, he’s one of two characters with this name in the series. Although this King happens to be the first, he shares a few similarities with the second. King is a luchador from Mexico that supports orphans across the world. Since there’s a “King” in every game in the series, each of them has a very unique appearance. They’re all pretty easy to spot, especially the first King, for his animal-like features resembling a leopard.
King Tekken 3 Costume: Stealing that look
There is very little to steal from a leopard man that already lacks much other than a simple pair of shirt and pants. How much would you expect to steal from a luchador? They’re known for now wearing a lot, so this should be wrapped up fairly quickly.
You can start with a navy blue t-shirt, short-sleeved, and of course, a pair of pants with leopard print on the sides in a stripe. They look more like sweatpants which may make sense given the nature of his profession. Lastly, add a black bracelet with a beast symbol and of course, a leopard head.
Congratulations, you’ve become the new King! The characters of Tekken imprinted themselves into everyone’s minds from the start. It was so iconic that it was still remembered years later Bandai Namco Studios was definitely on to something when designing the characters and you’ll be just as notable in your King costume.
